So here I have been spending a few hours converting the many free meshes I’ve downloaded into a .x format for DirectX. The mesh in the image above shows an m95 sniper rifle. It is more detailed meshes like weapons that really shows off the SSAO shader I worked so hard on. If you haven’t noticed I do have some scaling factors to fix, but I just wanted to show how well the SSAO shader can perform on high occlusion objects like weapons.
